Dr Alek Pogosyan

Senior Postdoctoral Scientist

Alek Pogosyan graduated in Physics from Yerevan State University, Armenia, in 1986. He completed his PhD in Human Physiology from Sechenov Institute of Evolutionary Physiology and Biochemistry, Russia, in 1996. Alek has led pioneering projects on transcranial alternating current stimulation and the effect of the spatial extent of subcortical synchronisation and symptoms in Parkinson’s disease. Alek is particularly interested in extending the evidence base that pathological oscillations may underpin different aspects of disease.
